After 25 years’ experience within the motor trade as a paint sprayer, I have worked here at Autoecosse Autobody for over 2 years. I spend my time organizing the workshop, ensuring all parts are ordered and available to use and estimating vehicles. Shannan Brewster

Office Administrator

Having been with this company for over 7 years, I would class myself as part of the furniture. I spend my time here carrying out all of the daily administration tasks, but I also assist with accounts work. I greet all customers who visit us here at Autoecosse Autobody and I take all of our calls, so if you are ever dealing with us, there is a high chance it will be me that you are dealing with. I started off with the business in Kirriemuir and transitioned over to our current Dundee premise two years ago. Every day is different here at Autoecosse Autobody, but I am a part of the best team around.

Timeline

2010

On the 23rd of August 2010, Autoecosse Autobody Ltd was created in Kirriemuir, Scotland. The business took over a premises that had previously housed a major car rental refurbishment and PDI centre; once owned by the shareholder of Autobody.

At that time, the business was undertaking a number of classic car restoration projects as well as car sales preparation and accident repair work. The team was quite small at that time, but they took considerable pride in their work and the standard of the restoration work on vehicles such as Land Rover Series 1, MGB and Morris 1000 was exceptional, and to very exacting standards with great attention to detail to match the original factory-build specification. Several of the projects were highly praised by enthusiasts and collectors across the UK and Europe.

2016

This was a very exciting time for us as a business as we became an Approved Accident Repair Centre for Mitsubishi. In conjunction to this accolade a range of Accident Management Repair Companies had approved Autoecosse Autobody Ltd as their official regional repairer.

These developments resulted in new investment in equipment to meet the needs of the expanded repair portfolio. To meet this increase, in the scope of our business operation, a new operations manager was appointed who would continue to take the company forward.

2019

As the business was growing and our team was increasing in size, it became clear that being based in Kirriemuir was not ideal to meet the needs of our customer base, especially our insurance clients. Therefore, we decided it was the right time for the Autoecosse Autobody Team to make their debut in Dundee.

We moved our complete business operations to new premises in the city of Dundee, providing easy access to the city and surrounding regions and also allowing our company to offer a wider range or services. This move resulted in a major investment programme of over £500,000 in respect of new state of the art paint booth and paint mixing facilities, body jigs, wheel alignment and alloy wheel lathes to create one of the most modern accident repair facilities in the East of Scotland. The quality of workmanship was driven by a professional and committed management team and a highly skilled team of technicians.

2020/21

The reputation of the company was growing and was being acclaimed for not only its high standard of workmanship but also for its commitment to on time completion of repair jobs. This is an essential standard that must be achieved to get damaged vehicles back on the road quickly without compromising safety and quality workmanship.

The initial lockdown period in 2020 allowed the company to maintain standards as an essential supplier to organisations such as the ambulance services and police. We ensured that every effort was made to respond to all repairs in a very timely manner to ensure key service vehicles were available and on the road.

We decided that in 2021, during the winter lockdown, it was a great time for us to enhance our workshop. We added more high specification equipment that would enhance the skills of our staff and comply with BS10125 Approval. With the growth of EV and Hybrid technology vehicles Autoecosse Autobody is well placed to cater for such vehicles in a knowledgeable manner.

Autoecosse Autobody now operates a state-of-the-art facility with a highly skilled team and is ready to embark on another chapter of growth to meet the ever increasing standards of the vehicle repair sector.

What our customers say……

I had my rear bumper replaced here after a low-speed shunt. The damage was carefully assessed and the required work and costs clearly explained. Workmanship on painting and fitting the bumper was excellent.
